I am a bilingual therapist fluent in both English and Spanish, with extensive experience supporting individuals, couples, and families. Alongside my role as an assistant professor of Marriage and Family Therapy and a clinical supervisor, I have successfully guided numerous couples and families in developing crucial coping skills to address challenging relationship issues. These issues include communication barriers, infidelity, and power dynamics. Additionally, I work with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds, helping them tackle concerns related to anxiety, depression, and acculturation, as well as challenges related to discrimination and oppression.

My approach is grounded in a strengths-based perspective that emphasizes cultural humility and compassion. I am devoted to fostering a safe and nurturing environment where personal growth can thrive. My genuine interest lies in comprehending individuals beyond their surface struggles, to help them achieve personal goals in alignment with their true selves and abilities.

Possessing a Ph.D. in Medical Family Therapy from a COAMFTE-accredited program, I hold the highest level of accreditation in the field. Combined with my compassionate nature and extensive experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds, I am committed to offering you a high level of expertise and dedication.

In therapy, I follow a collaborative and person-centered approach, meeting clients at their current mental health journey. By drawing from an integrative perspective and utilizing a blend of modalities, I customize our sessions to suit your unique needs and aspirations. I aim to create a supportive, culturally inclusive, and LGBTQ-affirming environment where you can feel acknowledged, understood, and empowered to make desirable changes.
