Do you require a deposit for the initial appointment?
Yes, a deposit is required to reserve your initial appointment with one of our therapists. The deposit is equal to the cost of your first session and will be applied to that session automatically once the session has been completed. However, as per our general financial policy, if you cancel more than 24 hours in advance, this deposit will be refunded back to you or applied to your first session if you reschedule. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment or no show, this deposit will not be refunded or applied to future sessions.
Our clinicians’ time is important to us and to others who are hoping to utilize the open slots on their schedules, so we do ask that you notify us as soon as you know you won’t be able to make it so we can make that slot open to others who are in need of therapeutic assistance.

Insurance/Financial Policies
Although we are not in network with any insurance providers, the majority of our clients qualify for out of network reimbursement for our services and receive an average of 72% of the cost for services back from their insurance provider. Simply pay the full amount at the time the service is rendered, let us file these out of network claims for you, and your check should come in the mail. Read more about this process here.
Do you require a desposit for the initial appointment?
Yes. Our providers stay busy here at Stanford Couples Counseling, therefore we will charge the card on file for the amount of the initial session in order to reserve that appointment date and time with your chosen therapist. As long as I cancel 24 hours in advance, this deposit will be refunded to you. Unless you cancel 24 hours or more in advance, this fee will be applied to your initial session whether you show, no show, or late cancel.
Cancellation Policy
Please notify your therapist at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled appointment or you will be charged the full cost of the session.

Our forms are all sent, signed, and submitted through our secure online client portal. Ask your therapist if you need to submit any forms and they will be provided through the portal.
Do you have Spanish-speaking therapists?
Yes, Ruth Rodriguez (Dallas office and virtual), Maria Siqueiros (Flower Mound office and virtual), and Liz Amaro (virtual-only) are all marriage and family therapists that speak fluent Spanish.
